Thank you If you are worried about a new version hitting soon, just get a subscription. It would be sad if i buy Substance Painter 2 and about 6 months later Substance Painter 3 is going to be released. So for me its the best way i buy Substance Painter, not Substance Designer, correct?ĭo you know already about when are you going to release the Substance Painter 3 version? Ursprünglich geschrieben von Vekoro:I am also interested in Substance Painter, i want to use the textures in Unity 5 Pro. Let me know if you have any questions or need more clarification. SP won't allow you to create custom substances. It is a great combination to have with SD as it can be used not only to paint full textures, but to also paint masks that can be used in SD for material filter generators such as the ones used to make edge wear and dirt. SP is designed to allow you to paint in full 3D. This is where Substance Painter comes in. There are 2D painting tools, but there are not a perfect solution. However, SD doesn't have a great option for painting textures. It has a lot of power with a mix workflow of working with procedural textures and bitmaps. Substance Designer allows you to create custom substance files. I really want to buy this amzing tool but i can't see the difference between the Designer Tool and this ? Is there some kind of difference for it ? Designer seems to be more of a Production Tool for me as it organizes stuff and Painter is to well Paint it ?
